November 3rd declared International Speculative Poetry Day
After a conversation with the members of the Science Fiction and Fantasy Poetry Association November 3rd was selected as the inaugural day to mark International Speculative Poetry Day. The day also coincides with the 60th anniversary of Laika's mission into orbit. The SFPA has over 300 members around the world and their mission is to create a space for readers and writers of poetry to exchange ideas influenced by science fiction, fantasy, horror, and other imaginative genres. They will celebrate their 40th anniversary in 2018.
