Lao Voices of the Central Valley book release 12/2

Community members are invited to attend the book launch party of Lao Voices of the Central Valley this Saturday, December 2nd at 6PM.

The book launch will be at the FIRM (Fresno Interdenominational Refugee Ministries). Contributors will have a book reserved for them, and those who cannot attend in person will have copies mailed to them shortly. LSA Frenso thanks you all for making it possible.

November 3rd declared International Speculative Poetry Day

After a conversation with the members of the Science Fiction and Fantasy Poetry Association November 3rd was selected as the inaugural day to mark International Speculative Poetry Day. The day also coincides with the 60th anniversary of Laika's mission into orbit. The SFPA has over 300 members around the world and their mission is to create a space for readers and writers of poetry to exchange ideas influenced by science fiction, fantasy, horror, and other imaginative genres. They will celebrate their 40th anniversary in 2018.
